Picture of the Moon with the EOS camera

If we had some less cloudy evenings we could do more!

Our first photographs are of the moon taken with a camera on a tripod because we haven't got a motor on the telescope yet. We are going to try attaching the camera to the eyepiece next.

The Eclipse of the Moon

So far we have looked at Saturn, its rings and some of its moons. We have also looked at the moon. On high magnification we could see the irregular edge of the moon and some craters.

Our first pictures of Saturn are not very good with the telescope. We couldn't get the exposure right and we were getting lots of camera shake because of the wind. Focusing was very hard. This was using a T2 adaptor into the telescope.

Our pictures af Mars weren't very good. We are going to have to motorise the telescope.
